COVID-19 RESPONSE

FEBRAURY 14, 2022 UPDATE

Hello Emmanuel Family,

Emmanuel Church is continuing to follow local and national guidance as well as advice from our Emmanuel Health Team regarding COVID safety. At this time, wearing masks is encouraged but not required. It is a personal decision for you and your family.

We have been given a number of KN95 masks to distribute to our church family for free. If you would like some masks, they are available in the Welcome Center.

We continue to ask that if you are not feeling well, please take advantage of our online services until you are feeling better.

As we continue to pray for the end of this pandemic, let's keep our eyes on Jesus!

AUGUST 26, 2021 UPDATE

Hello Emmanuel Family,

God has been good to Emmanuel during the COVID-19 global pandemic for eighteen months. Unlike many churches, we did not have to keep the doors closed or suspend in-person worship services and ministries due to unexpected breakouts. Members and friends of the Emmanuel Church family, however, are still contracting COVID-19. This week’s staff prayer journal is evidence of the pesky nature of the virus.

The Emmanuel Health Team has provided helpful guidance and practical application of the various state mandates and CDC recommendations from day one. We cannot thank them enough for their wise and thoughtful leadership. The latest advice from our team states, “Recognizing the virulence of the new COVID strain, we encourage everyone to wear a mask when indoors and use hand sanitizer when entering the church buildings.”

Emmanuel Church is not mandating masks at this time. The church leadership supports this word of encouragement. This is a personal decision for you and your family to make. If you have been exposed to someone with the virus, are not feeling well, or are showing symptoms, please take advantage of our online services until you are feeling better. Please be aware that not everyone will follow this recommendation for various reasons. Out of love for one another, we will respect each other’s decision.

Emmanuel has faced this storm together since March 2020. Let’s keep our focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and maintain the highest level of love for the family.

Pastor Rick

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near.
