Frequently asked questions

What time are worship services?

Worship services are at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00am. All services will last approximately one hour.

Where are your worship services located?

Worship with us in person, or join us for our online watch party right here on our website or on our Facebook page.

We will have three areas or venues on our campus for you to enjoy the Easter worship service. The live venue will be in the main worship center, and we will have two additional watch party venues in our Welcome Center and Video Venue, where the service will be broadcast live. Greeters will be happy to assist you to each location if you have questions.

Our address is 3800 Old Town Road, Huntingtown, MD 20639.

What about my kids?

For younger kids (birth through 5th grade), we will have an EASTER JAM during the 9:45 and 11:00 services! The Children’s Ministry Venue is located in the back of the main building. Attendance and security check-in is required at the Envision Kids front desk.

Middle and high school students (6th through 12th grade) will meet during all three services (8:30, 9:45, and 11:00) in the Student Venues located behind the back parking lot.

Our greeters are willing to escort you to the family ministry areas so that you feel comfortable about your child’s or student’s environment. A check-in team member will safely register your child for the morning activities.

Find out more about our children's ministry here and our student ministry here.

And kids are always welcome in our worship services!

Where do I park?

When you arrive on campus, you will be greeted by our friendly Parking Team volunteers. If you are a first-time guest, a senior, a family with young children, or a family with special needs, you will be encouraged to park on the upper paved lot closes to the building. There is plenty of parking all around the entire building. We encourage our staff, volunteers, members and attenders to park in the gravel lot away from the building to make room for you and your family. Our Parking Team members will direct you.

What are your COVID safety precautions?

Your safety is a priority to us.

  • Masks are required while inside the church facility at all times for everyone over 5 years old.
  • Social distancing is strongly encouraged.
  • Family, group, and individual seating is appropriately distanced.
  • Hand sanitizer is available throughout the church facility.
  • If you are not feeling well, please enjoy the online worship option.
The church facility will be thoroughly sanitized before each service.

Will there be coffee/refreshments?

Yes! Stop by the hospitality tents in front of the church in the grass area for free refreshments on your way in. We will have hot and cold drinks and pre-packaged snacks available from 8:00 to 11:00am.

What do I wear?

Wear whatever you are comfortable with. You will see most people dressed in casual clothing such as jeans or khakis and shirts or sweaters.

What will the service be like?

During the worship service, you will hear upbeat music from our praise and worship band that can be heard on local contemporary radio stations such as 91.9, 95.1, or 107.3. You can sing along with the words provided on the screens if you like, or simply listen to the band.

Everyone who attends will be asked to complete a Connect Card with your name and contact information. That is the best way we can communicate with you about future Emmanuel opportunities. We do not share this information with other organizations.

Pastor Rick will preach about 20 minutes on how God has made it possible for all of us to be together forever. As you leave the worship center, you will be asked to drop your Connect Card off in a basket. You will not be expected to give money. That is the responsibility of the church family. We are just glad you came!

Don’t forget that free coffee, cold beverages, and snack items will be served from 8:00-11:00 am. The worship service will last just under an hour, so you can plan your day accordingly.

One more thing: You are invited to come back again next week. Emmanuel Church would love to be your church family. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Can I attend online?

Yes! Join us for our online watch parties here on our website or on our Facebook page at 8:30, 9:45, or 11:00am.
